Economic Development

Economic development is a multi-faceted, long-term process that involves people and organizations working together from public and private sectors. Together for Hope joins with the city council, police jury (i.e., county commissioners), business leaders, the Chamber of Commerce, local citizens, and other non-profits and ministries to cultivate economic opportunities in East Carroll Parish. 

In particular, this work has led TFH to work with the local branch of the community college. Working cooperatively, we've a) increased access to job training and interview skills, b) provided basic computer literacy classes, c) helped individuals navigate the college and technical program application processes, and d) helped increase the long term viability of the college. These efforts work toward the greater goal of helping educate the workforce and provide connections to job opportunities.
